Carl Mccaskey is one of the more malicious deceivers on the net. He send so much harassing email to me over such a long period of time that the FBI actually sent an agent to gather the emails as evidence to send to congress (since his malicious activity was not covered because it was over the internet). The following is one of Mccaskey's more recent ones: The following was FAXed to the FBI. It is interesting that Carl Mccaskey would be saying things like "May God bless and keep you" on public newsgroups while sending email like this. (He attempted to forge a netcom account when he sent this). Here is the exact copy of the FAX sent to the FBI: I received the following today from fsu. I hope that this would be enough to finally get a warrant for Carl Mccaskey. Received: from mailer.scri.fsu.edu by prime.org (SMTP server by Andrey Iliynikh,v.1.1) Mon May 20 10:10:18 1996 Received: from margit (margit.scri.fsu.edu [144.174.128.45]) by mailer.scri.fsu.edu (8.6.12/8.6.12) with SMTP id JAA02302 for ; Mon, 20 May 1996 09:24:46 -0400 From: Emily Ratliff Received: by margit (AIX 3.2/UCB 5.64) id AA29924; Mon, 20 May 1996 09:22:52 -0400 Message-Id: <9605201322.AA29924@margit> Subject: Re: Fwd: prime.org is a fraud To: steve@prime.org Date: Mon, 20 May 1996 09:22:52 -0500 (EDT) In-Reply-To: <9605140046.AA17311@merlin.nando.net> from "Steve Winter" at May 13, 96 08:46:32 pm X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL21] Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Length: 2948 The message was indeed sent by McCaskey. On the face of things, I see no crime involved, however. I will warn McCaskey to abide by proper netiquette and if you are interested in pursuing a police case against him, I will help as appropriate.
